What to Bring to Residential Treatment

When preparing your child or teen for residential treatment, please be sure to pack:

  • birth certificate
  • immunization records
  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  • insurance and ID cards
  • any current prescribed and over-the-counter medications
  • medical information regarding allergies to medication, food, etc.
  • comfortable clothing for 2 weeks (jeans, sweatpants, t-shirts, and pajamas are all appropriate)
  • appropriate reading material

Please do not bring:

  • electronic devices, including but not limited to: cell phones, iPods, laptops, and portable gaming devices
  • jewelry and other valuables
  • knives or weapons of any kind
  • glass items
  • shoe strings, drawstrings or belts
  • nail polish and remover
  • aerosol cans / perfumes
  • food, including candy and drinks
